During this family-friendly, after-hours event, guests can creep through Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, satisfy their sweet tooth and encounter characters at immersive Treat Trails and enjoy the “Frightfully Fun Parade.” Guests can also make their parade viewing extra sweet by booking spots for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party. Admission to the after-hours event also includes entry to Disney California Adventure Park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.

NEW This Year: Oogie Boogie Bash VIP Tour

Guests can experience the ultimate VIP treatment this Halloween season with a VIP Tour that includes both Park Hopper admission and event tickets to Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. Guests will be escorted through both parks by a dedicated VIP Tour Guide who will customize their experience around the group's priorities and must-do-experiences! Guests will enjoy expedited access to attractions, expedited entry to select treat trails, reserved seating for the Frightfully Fun Parade and more!

Beginning June 18, the required deposit for Disney Cruise Line reservations is changing from 20% to 10% of the voyage fare for new bookings. For existing reservations made on or before June 17, 2025, the original 20% deposit remains in place in accordance with the terms agreed upon at the time of booking. Specific details for this update include:

Cancellation Fees

• Cancellation fees will follow the new deposit policy for sailings made on or after June 18, 2025.
• If a reservation is cancelled during the deposit cancellation fee period and the deposit was 10%, the cancellation fees will also be 10% of the voyage fare.
• Cancellation fees for guests who previously paid a 20% deposit will be 20% of the voyage fare.
• Per our existing policy, deposits will continue to be non-refundable for Concierge Guests.

Modifications

• If a Guest is outside the cancellation fee period and prefers to take advantage of the new 10% deposit policy, they may cancel and rebook their reservation under the updated terms.
• Standard cancellation fees may apply for reservations within the cancellation fee period, as outlined in our terms and conditions.

Onboard Placeholder Offers

• Guests who have booked a Placeholder Reservation will also see a change in the required deposit when they add a sail date to their reservation if the sailing is 7 nights or longer.
• Guests will only be required to pay a 5% deposit. If the reservation is cancelled in the deposit cancellation fee window, Guests will only be subject to a 5% cancellation fee.
• In addition to the deposit percentage change, there will no longer be a three day hold when converting Onboard Placeholder Offers through the Contact Center or when booking online. A deposit will now be due at the time of placeholder conversion now that placeholders can be converted online.

Beyond the delicious menu items (which we’ll get to in a minute), there are some special offerings guests will definitely want to check out. At the weekly culinary series hosted by Kroger Delivery, guests will be able to see chefs from some Disney Springs staples as they demonstrate how to make some of their dishes from the event. Also back this year are the food and beverage pairing events which help guests get that magical combination they will have to taste to believe. Some of our culinary or beverage experts will be their hosts, guiding them on this tasty journey and pairing your sips and flavors. The Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams are hard at work with the crew at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany to bring Disney Cruise Line’s heroes and villains-themed ship, the Disney Destiny, to life.

Here on the Disney Destiny ship’s log, get an exclusive look at the shipbuilding process, along with behind-the-scenes looks at some of the exciting Disney stories coming to life inside. Be sure to bookmark this page for regular updates all the way through the ship’s maiden voyage on November 20 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. 

For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will be the signature stern character on the Disney Destiny, a hallmark design feature that represents each ship’s unique theme and personality. Now in its final stages of completion, this larger-than-life sculpture will eventually be installed among the filigree on the back of the ship, showcasing Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots attempting to assist with decorating the stern. 

Like its sister ships, the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, a fan-favorite focal point of the Disney Destiny’s staterooms will be the oversized custom art piece mounted in place of a headboard above the main bed. Inspired by the ship’s theme of “heroes and villains,” these murals will depict the alluring duality and epic journeys of famous Disney and Pixar legends, such as Hercules, Mulan and Merida — the designs for which were revealed today for the first time. 

Walt Disney Imagineering has dreamed up two incredible statues destined for Edna Á La Mode Sweets, an all-new confectionary inspired by Pixar Animation Studios’ “The Incredibles.”

Taking cues from the “Auntie Edna” short film, the statues showcase Edna Mode — fashion designer for the world’s most famous Supers — hard at work while attempting to entertain the unpredictable super baby Jack-Jack with sweet treats. 

Imagineers partnered with Pixar Animation Studios to create the sculptures, from sketch to digital model to reality. When finished, they’ll be transported to the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany for installation and finally prepared for the sweetest of photo ops aboard the Disney Destiny. 

A defining trait of every Disney Cruise Line ship is the signature character statue that welcomes guests as soon as they step on board. For the first time ever, the Disney Destiny will feature a Marvel Super Hero in this place of honor: T’Challa, the original Black Panther. 

Walt Disney Imagineering is currently putting the finishing touches on this stunning depiction of T’Challa standing strong atop a jut of rock, the feline form of a black panther at his feet. To set this bronze statue apart, Imagineers designed a textured black finish with silver and purple accents that infuse the sculpture with a sense of life, capturing the power and grace of the King of Wakanda. Check out this video on Instagram for a first look! 

This one-of-a-kind statue will ultimately take its place in the Wakanda-inspired Grand Hall, beckoning cruisers into a brand-new world of heroes and villains … and legendary vacation memories.

Last week, the Disney Destiny completed another exciting construction milestone at Meyer Werft Shipyard when it touched water for the first time. The process, known as “float up,” began by flooding the building dock with water from the Ems River in order to lift the Disney Destiny from the floor of the chamber. The ship was then guided to another position in the hall, where the team will begin testing different systems onboard, including the main engines. In the coming months, the shipyard team will continue to focus on building out the legendary interior spaces coming to the Disney Destiny.

Today, we are bringing you a first look at this ship’s progress and are excited to share that the final blocks (i.e. sections of the ship) were put into place in late 2024. That’s right – with the last piece of the ship in place, the ship’s exterior is now structurally complete and outfitting work has begun on the interior. Take a look at this timelapse construction footage to see the Disney Destiny’s progress, including a look at how it was built alongside the Disney Treasure in the shipyard.

Buckle up for a new spin on a fan-favorite attraction – Test Track presented by General Motors will reopen on July 22! 

This attraction update will debut an all-new musical score, as well as new scenes that highlight technology making our cars smarter and our lives more fun.

See Through the “Eyes” of a Vehicle

One of those scenes showcases how vehicles can use advanced cameras and sensors to “see” the world they drive through. Walt Disney Imagineers were able to represent this tech utilizing over 29,000 points of light!

While Test Track has always celebrated new and future automotive technology, it’s also a reminder of what a road trip is all about: spending quality time in the company of friends and family while embracing the beauty of the world around us. 

The Road Ahead 

The team is hard at work on the finishing touches (detailing the final details, if you will), getting the attraction green light ready.  

Just like drivers always check their mirrors when they get behind the wheel, we encourage guests to keep an eye out for more information to share in the coming weeks about special previews for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents and Club 33 Members alike to ride before the attraction officially reopens.

2025 has flown by – but that just means we’re getting closer to some of the most enchanting times of the year at Disneyland Resort. And with the Disneyland Resort 70^th Celebration still underway, we're here to share that the fall nostalgia and festive frights will be especially memorable.

Guests may be wondering what Halloween, autumn and anniversary experiences they can look forward to at the Disneyland Resort. Broom-stick with us to find out more!

Halloween at Disneyland Park

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort will take place Aug. 22 through Oct. 31, 2025. So much iconic Halloween magic is on its way back, as quintessential fall sights, sounds and flavors take over the resort. Signature decoration elements – ambient orange lighting, bunting, leaves, and of course, more pumpkins than anyone could count – will once again materialize.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends will dress to impress this Halloween in bright new looks featuring swirling colors of purple, green and orange – a twist on their 70^th Celebration outfits! Guest should be sure to wave “hello” and snap a photo.

At Disneyland, the beloved Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction overlay invites guests into a world where Halloween’s spooky charm collides with Christmas’s magical glow. It’s a must-see for fans of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” who want to reunite with Santa Jack, Sally and Zero inside the eerie estate.

Guests can catch “Halloween Screams,” the nighttime spectacular filled with haunting projections and special effects showing creatures of the night and Disney Villains like Hades and Ursula. Are they truly evil – or just misunderstood? On select nights, guests' experiences may be accompanied by fireworks over the skies of Disneyland.

Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour unearths chilling stories and thrilling experiences in a two-hour walking tour across Disneyland park. The tour includes Lightning Lane access to a select attraction and reserved viewing for “Halloween Screams.”

Halloween at Disney California Adventure Park

Radiator Springs will take on its wheelie boo-tiful transformation – Radiator Screams – featuring Halloween overlays like Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOreee. Lightning McQueen and his friends will take part in the fun in their creative car-stumes!

Available in the evenings at Avengers Campus, guests shouldn't forget to check out Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Groot has been left behind in the Collector’s Fortress, which is overrun with monsters. In a thrilling chase, guests and their friends must team up with Rocket to distract the beasts and escape the chaos with Groot before they are caught!

Something’s brewing in the Disney Theater for kids and the kids at heart... it’s Mickey Mouse and his pals dressing up to celebrate Halloween in “Mickey’s Trick and Treat”! This interactive show will temporarily replace “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” during the fall season, ringing in the spirit of spooky without any real scares. Guests will even get to take home a special treat.

Halloween Food and Drink

No better season to try something wildly delicious, like the returning Oogie Boogie lemonade and new jalapeño-cream cheese bread. Guests should their eyes peeled for new limited-time snacks and returning fan-favorite flavors across the resort.

Must-See Halloween Merch

Guests can get into the Halloween spirit with the Mickey Mouse Family Halloween Collection, perfect for adding an autumnal touch to their visit! Even more collections will be revealed at a later date.

These seasonal items can be found at select locations throughout the resort, including World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District, Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure park, and Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland.

Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit all Over Disneyland Resort

Everyone’s a winner in Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit! Available from Aug. 29 through Oct. 31, guests can purchase an activity map to aid their search for Disney-themed pumpkins hidden in Disneyland park, Disney California Adventure park or Downtown Disney District. Guests can look for them, complete the map and exchange it for a wicked prize.  

Halloween Fun at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort

Guests can discover what décor could be lurking around the corner at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort. Characters will be in their autumn attire, and guests can meet them at Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween and at Mickey’s Autumn Adventures at Storytellers Cafe.

Overnight guests at the three hotels can enjoy special perks, such as treat trails on select afternoons and the option to purchase a Halloween-themed in-room celebration, which includes festively themed amenities and decorations. 

For the first time, Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel will feature a cocktail menu themed to Disney Villains!

Guests will discover a skeleTON of seasonal delights at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! They can watch pumpkin carvers turn gourds into a masterpiece, feast their eyes on a confectionery display in the lobby and treat themselves to Halloween-inspired treatments at Tenaya Stone Spa.

Plaza de la Familia 2025

Watching Pixar Animation Studios’ “Coco” always reminds us to treasure the everlasting bonds of familia. If guests also love the warm feelings of tradition and remembrance, they won’t want to miss the return of Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure park, Aug. 22 through Nov. 2, 2025.

This heartfelt celebration at Paradise Gardens Park, inspired by the spirit of Día de los Muertos, will once again feature live entertainment from the “Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!,” delicious Mexican cuisine, artful crafts and a special photo opportunity with a hand-animated dimensional figure of Miguel. Guests may also continue a tradition of visiting the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) and adding a note of remembrance to the memory wall.

Releasing in early September, the new Disney Pixar Coco Collection will introduce new apparel, accessories, headwear and more inspired by the film.

Oogie Boogie Bash 2025 Tickets and Details

We are so excited to have the separately ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party back at Disney California Adventure park on select nights from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31!

During this family-friendly, after-hours event, guests can creep through Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, satisfy their sweet tooth and encounter characters at immersive Treat Trails and enjoy the “Frightfully Fun Parade.” Guests can also make their parade viewing extra sweet by booking spots for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party.

Admission to the after-hours event also includes entry to Disney California Adventure park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.

Tickets for Oogie Boogie Bash go on sale to the general public on June 26, 2025, no earlier than 9 a.m. PT. Pre-sale tickets will be available for Magic Key holders no earlier than 9 a.m. PT beginning on the below dates:

• Inspire Magic Key holders (limited amount of tickets for pre-sale): June 24, 2025
• All Magic Key holders (limited amount of tickets for pre-sale): June 25, 2025

Disneyland Resort 70^th Celebration Entertainment Continues

The fusion of fall favorites and the Disneyland Resort 70^th Celebration is truly a sight to behold.

Not only will guests get to experience all of these awesome autumn festivities, but they still get to enjoy 70^th Celebration entertainment. Anniversary offerings that will continue throughout the Halloween season include the dazzling “Paint the Night” parade, the nighttime spectacular “World of Color Happiness!,” “Tapestry of Happiness” projections and thematic nods on Toy Story Midway Mania!

Areas and attractions around the resort will retain special touches, including decorative accents and the colorful castle photo opportunity in the esplanade. Interactive MagicBand+ locations and the Key to Disneyland lock stations will remain available.
