Starting May 26, the legendary ride roars back to life with a rock-charged remix that drops guests straight into the middle of The Electric Mayhem’s biggest night yet. With high-speed thrills, a pulse pounding soundtrack, and a VIP list like no other, this reimagined attraction hits all the right notes.

The Electric Mayhem: One Night Only! 

The Electric Mayhem is headlining the most buzzworthy concert Hollywood has ever seen. Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips are ready to rock the house – and everyone who’s anyone will be there.  

There’s just one little problem – the band is nowhere to be found! 

Your VIP tour kicks off inside G-Force Records—an iconic rock-and-roll recording studio where the magic (and mayhem) is just getting started. 

A Courtyard of Mayhem  

Out in the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Courtyard, the attraction’s iconic guitar marquee will be making a bold new statement.  

The Electric Mayhem has put their own spin on that ruby-red guitar, featuring a vibrant, psychedelic design inspired by the classic Muppet car paint job. The piano motif at the base will feature a golden key as a nod to a certain far-out band leader.  

Star-studded Halls of Rock  

G-Force Records is opening its legendary doors, giving guests a peek at where the melodic magic takes place. Things might look a little different around this Hollywood institution, as the label has recently come under new management!  

We’re happy to say that our colorful crew has landed some new digs… with just a little help from Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse (he really puts the G in G-Force).  

With posters in every corner highlighting the iconic band’s larger-than-life career, guests will have plenty of groovy backgrounds to strike their best pose.

Welcome to G-Force Records 

With guests' VIP passes, they'll be welcomed inside the recording studio, where – wouldn’t you know it – they’ll find The Electric Mayhem cranking out the familiar tunes of “Can You Picture That?” as they rehearse for their big concert. Fans will be immersed in the story with the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, who’s joined by the finest audio engineers (all penguins, of course). They’re doing their best to convince The Electric Mayhem to stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans, but will it be enough to get the band across town and on stage in time?

Thanks to the newest technological advancements from Muppets Labs, guests will board a super-powered vehicle in the alleyway just behind Studio C known as the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.)!

What’s a rock show without a killer set list? For Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, the music takes center stage. The Electric Mayhem teamed up with some of rock’s biggest names to deliver a lineup of tracks designed to crank the adrenaline from the loading zone to the final brake run.

With the opening date officially set for May 26, the band is warming up and the L.I.M.O. engines are revving. So grab your shades. Prepare those vocal cords. This concert is about to go from rehearsal to headline act.

A Familiar Mission with New Updates

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom remains the classic attraction guests know and love, with many of the attraction’s legacy “secret” high-value targets (in addition to new ones that guests should keep their eyes out for). The experience is designed to feel intuitive and welcoming, making it easy for new recruits to jump right in while giving seasoned riders plenty to rediscover.

Now what’s different, you ask?

• Brand New Scene: Guests are greeted by an all‑new character: a friendly robot named Buddy, created by Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios to join the Star Command team.
  • As a support‑bot, Buddy helps prepare departing Space Rangers, and this is a great warm-up opportunity if you want to practice your aim before the true test begins.

• New Ride Vehicles and Hand-Held Blasters: Star Cruisers received a fresh new look inspired by the colors of Buzz Lightyear and Star Command, along with onboard video monitors that deliver real‑time scoring updates and other exciting features.
  • Each vehicle is also equipped with new handheld blasters designed for better aim, making it easier for guests of all ages to jump into the action. With always‑on lasers, two distinct blaster colors per Star Cruiser, and new lighting, sound, and vibration effects, players can clearly see where they’re aiming, if their aim is correct, and when they hit the target.

• Interactive Targets: The targets have been upgraded with new technology to let guests know when they’ve hit them. Guests will also find that a few targets will randomly have a white or multicolor ring around them. That’s an important thing to look out for depending on your game strategy.

Watchout Tip:

• Check the blaster color! Guests will see either red or green. This color will also appear on a target whenever guests hit the center so that they know they were successful.

Why Farther Targets Are Worth More Points

The greater the distance or more challenging to hit, the more points the targets are worth. These new details offer a fun, competitive edge.

Boost Your Score with Standout Targets

As guests travel throughout the attraction, keep an eye out: they may spot a few targets that randomly illuminate with a white outer ring. Those targets are worth double their normal value when that happens, and it stays that way until they’re hit!

This boost is helpful on the mission, and even bigger when the ring is multicolor instead of white. The multicolor-ringed target is the most rare and valuable target in the game. It appears at random, in only one location at a time, and if it isn’t hit within a few seconds, it vanishes and reappears somewhere else.

Guests are the hero of the game at this point because all targets in the scene are worth significantly more points for a brief period. This phase doesn’t last long, so stay focused and adapt on the fly. Guests will notice this bonus period is starting to end when the outer ring begins to count down by extinguishing counterclockwise.

Why Every Target Counts at the End of the Mission

The excitement doesn’t stop when the final shot is fired. As the mission comes to a close, every distinct target guests have hit is tallied and contributes to a bonus added just before their final rank is revealed.

That means consistency really pays off. Hitting more unique targets throughout the attraction can deliver a satisfying score bump right at the end, rewarding Space Rangers who stay engaged from start to finish.

On May 3, 2026, the iconic Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will reopen with new magic – and today, new details were shared about what to expect the next time guests take to the tracks in search of adventure.

There’s Gold in That There Mountain

The story of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad dates back to Olden Times, or rather, Golden Times, during the early days of America’s first major gold rush. When Barnabas T. Bullion struck gold in the Big Thunder region, he saw a future full of riches and hustled to start the Big Thunder Mountain Company.

However, them shiny dreams rarely come without a cost, and Bullion quickly found himself in a battle with the forces of nature and in a whole heap of trouble. One day, strange and unexplainable things started happening. Machines failed. Cave-ins shut mines down.

No matter how deep the miners dug into the heart of the mountain, the forces of Big Thunder fought back. And when the attraction reopens next year, the unsuspectin’ passengers who board the runaway trains will learn just how wild the wilderness can get.

Shine and Polish on a Magic Kingdom Classic

The mountain attractions at Disney Parks around the globe are iconic for a reason – they are beloved by fans old and new for the stories they tell, the thrills they give, and the memories they make.

The rumblin’, rollin’ fun of Big Thunder Mountain here at Disney World is currently undergoing a mountain-top to cavern-deep refurbishment meant to keep the classic attraction in tip-top shape, ready to delight guests who want to ride the rails for years to come.

Wildest Ride in the Wilderness

A key part of the refurbishment was installing a new track and refreshed passenger trains. These updates were carefully planned to preserve the attraction’s classic storytelling and trademark hootin’ an’ hollerin’ energy, while adding new life, movement, and detail to the experience guests know so well.

With all the improvements made to the attraction, along with a comprehensive review from our safety teams, Big Thunder Mountain will reopen with a lowered height requirement of 38”. Climb aboard, lil prospectors!

New Magic Thunderin’ In

In addition to the action and adventure guests know and love, Big Thunder Mountain will reopen with new magic for fans to discover.

One such moment comes when the trains rattle their way underground to spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling).

The Rainbow Caverns certainly are beautiful… but they ain’t as friendly as they first appear. In fact, that menacing rumble from deep within the mountain may be a sign that we ain’t welcome.

A Rock ‘n’ Roll Roadtrip: Coming Summer 2026

With the help from our friends at Muppet Labs and a very fast limousine, guests will take a twisting, turning, and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time. The iconic scenery and landmarks of Tinseltown will feature a Muppet twist when the attraction debuts in summer 2026.

And throughout the journey, guests will hear the Electric Mayhem playing some of the most iconic, rockin’ hits in their ears to keep the music and adrenaline pumping. I’m sure G Force Records will release a concert setlist soon.

With one all-new theme and four returning themes, the 2026 Disneyland After Dark events will create magical evenings of love, memories, nostalgia, adventure and community for guests of all ages! 

Disneyland After Dark events are separately ticketed, themed evenings that feature access to Disneyland park and select attractions after-hours (often with shorter wait times), imaginative entertainment, character encounters, scrumptious food and beverages, special merchandise collections and so much more!

The parties take place on select nights January through June 2026.

Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite is now sold out. At the time of publishing, tickets are still available for 70 Years of Favorites on March 3 and March 5.

What’s Included with a Disneyland After Dark Ticket

Each Disneyland After Dark event takes place at Disneyland park, beginning at 9 p.m. and continuing until 1 a.m. That is 4 hours to play the night away, after the park closes!

Pre-party park mix-in: Admission to Disneyland After Dark also includes entry to Disneyland park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. — giving guests a three-hour prelude before the party begins! During this time, guests can check out offerings available during regular park hours.

Photos from the party: Enjoy unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass* photos captured during the party. That means there’s literally no limit to the memories that can be made! Guests can simply scan the QR code on their event wristband via the Disneyland app** to access their photo gallery.

Commemorative event guide: In addition to the uniquely themed fun, admission tickets also include a commemorative keepsake and event guide map. The map is handy to reference during the party and so beautifully designed, guests will want to keep it as a collectible souvenir to remember their visit.

Also new for 2026, the romantic “Once Upon a Dream - A Musical Journey Through the Disney Songbook” show is a musical look at love and romance, featuring live singers and a variety of Disney royalty and culminates in a nighttime ball beneath the stars.

Guests can partner up for the new Disney Duets festive karaoke in the beloved Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland with a uniquely Disney twist.

Swing, sway and twirl with Donald Duck and Daisy Duck at the Valentine’s Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace.

Scenic photo backdrops throughout the park invite guests to “step into the scenes” of fan-favorite films such as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Aristocats,” “Tangled,” “Aladdin,” “Lady and the Tramp,” and more.

Sweethearts’ Nite Specialty Food

As the saying goes, the way to the heart is through the stomach! Guests can fall in love with specially curated sweets and savory treats. 

New for 2026 at Galactic Grill is a triple berry slushy with a Mickey-shaped glow cube. Returning favorites include surf n’ turf loaded fries at Red Rose Taverne.

More specialty menu items will be available at table-service restaurants: Blue Bayou Restaurant, River Belle Terrace and Carnation Café, subject to availability. This all-new theme, 70 Years of Favorites, will take guests on a sentimental journey commemorating seven decades of unforgettable moments at the beloved theme park. 70 Years of Favorites Entertainment

“Sounds of Magic” is a riverfront serenade featuring vocalists that perform favorite songs from past Disneyland musical shows. These performers will float down the Rivers of America on a raft multiple times throughout the night, singing tunes from various decades of Disneyland entertainment, including “Animazement – The Musical,” “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee,” “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion,” and “The Lion King Celebration Parade.”

Guests can get ready to jitterbug and jive to the sweet beats of swing dancing at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland. Once upon a time,all the hepcats gathered here for the swingiest bands around. Now, everyone can light up the dance floor!

Neon nostalgia will return in full force when guests put on their boogie shoes at Videopolis Dance Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. The can’t-miss, ultimate throwback dance party of the ‘80s features a live DJ, nonstop ‘80s tunes and iconic retro décor.

Guests can kick up their heels for line dancing at The Golden Horseshoe — stepping in time at this fond tribute to “Woody’s Round Up,” the favorite cowboy show which graced the Frontierland stage in the late ‘90s and early 2000s.

Sentimental photo opportunities staged throughout Disneyland park will harken back to past entertainment such as “Mad T Party,” “Main Street Electrical Parade” and Club Buzz, as well as some favorite attractions. Strike a pose!
