Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third film in the phenomenally successful Avatar franchise, opens exclusively in theaters worldwide December 19, 2025. James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family.

Guests can “na’vi-gate” their way to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park for refreshing sips and a specialty dessert inspired by the world of Pandora in Avatar: Fire and Ash.

Guests can step into the world of Pandora with our the new Avatar: Fire and Ashmerchandise collection at Walt Disney World! Inspired by the breathtaking visuals and captivating story of the latest film, this collection features apparel, accessories, and unique collectibles that celebrate the wonder and adventure of James Cameron’s epic universe.  

Whether they are a long-time fan or discovering Pandora for the first time, there’s something to enjoy. Guests can visit Pandora – The World of Avatar at Walt Disney World to explore the collection and bring home a piece of the adventure.  

For those still looking for fun Avatar keepsakes, Disney PhotoPass photographers will debut two new Magic Shots starting today, featuring The Wind Traders and a Nightwraith at select locations throughout Pandora – The World of Avatar — perfect for capturing a little extra magic from Pandora. 

While visiting Disney Springs, guests should make time to stop by AMC Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatre to experience Avatar: Fire and Ash, now playing on the big screen. Before or after the show, they can snap a photo at one of the themed backdrops! 

The brand-new Taylor Swift exhibit at Walt Disney Presents inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios is now open for park guests to enjoy until January 23. This activation invites fans to see three unforgettable costumes worn by Taylor herself during Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, providing an exclusive look at the craftsmanship and detail that brought each era in the show to life. 

For a limited time, Walt Disney World guests can visit Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and embark on their own journey through the eras, with different costumes from this epic tour on display.

Three looks from “reputation,” “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT,” and “Midnights” eras have been handpicked to be featured here, and they’ll never go out of style.

Taylor’s entrance during the “reputation” set is fierce and unforgettable, largely thanks to this asymmetrical black bodysuit, which surrounds her with swirling, shimmering gold serpents.

Designed by Roberto Cavalli, this gold variant of the jumpsuit with an open-mouthed snake made its debut at night one in Miami. 

The striking, theatrical dress in Taylor’s “THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT” set was created by Vivienne Westwood, and was added to the tour following the album’s release in 2024.

This custom draped corseted gown is inscribed with lyrics from “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?” and features a three-row orb detail choker necklace, custom white gloves, and Christian Louboutin custom white boots.

Taylor’s ensemble for the “Midnights” set is truly the ultimate closing costume.

The base is a Zuhair Murad Couture custom bodysuit featuring side cut-outs and a midnight blue shad embellished by crystals, topped with a colorful fringe jacket for the final song of the show, “Karma.”

This exhibit is the perfect place to channel one's inner mastermind, overanalyzing every detail up close – it’s what any fan would do!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also home to fan-favorite attractions and experiences like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and “Fantasmic” – so there’s plenty to see after soaking up all the sparkle and snapping some photos. On December 13, the crew members of the Disney Adventure, shipyard team, and Meyer Werft team commemorated another milestone celebrating the legal handover of the ship in Bremerhaven, Germany. The ceremony included a traditional flag-raising, and the Walt Disney Imagineering team presented a gift to the Meyer Werft team honoring the partnership behind bringing the Disney Adventure to life.

November 7, 2025: Sneak Peek at the Rotational Dining Restaurants on the Disney Adventure

The storybook castle, standing three decks tall, has taken its place at the creative heart of the Disney Adventure in Disney Imagination Garden. The art piece is a first-of-its-kind in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, bringing guest-favorite fairytales to life.  

The Walt Disney Imagineering team drew inspiration from the iconic castles featured in beloved Disney films and Disney Parks around the world. The paper cut-out style, reminiscent of a pop-up storybook, invites guests to step into their own story. 

The Disney Adventure is introducing some new retail offerings – and bringing some cruise favorite shopping locations – to the high seas when it sets sail from Singapore this December. With nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space, this ship will offer more shopping opportunities than ever before, including several exciting firsts for Disney Cruise Line! 

The beloved Disney Parks shopping destination, World of Disney, will debut on Disney Cruise Line aboard the Disney Adventure. From familiar nautical favorites, to a wide range of never-before-seen designs inspired by the rich natural beauty and cultural icons of Southeast Asia, World of Disney is sure to be a must-visit for every guest onboard. 

 Another first for Disney Cruise Line, the National Geographic Store will open its doors at sea, offering a line of exclusive co-branded merchandise. Think stylish shirts, hats, adventure-ready bags, and more — perfect for explorers of all ages. Take a sneak peek at some of the exciting new products!  

 

This one is for Duffy and Friends fans! The Disney Adventure will be home to the first-ever dedicated Duffy and Friends Shop. Expect exclusive merchandise that showcases Duffy and all his friends in adorable nautical-themed outfits, making this a can’t-miss spot for collectors and fans alike.  

Concierge guests will be treated to an elevated shopping experience with access to two exclusive boutiques: Palace Treasures, including luxury goods and fine jewelry, and 3 Wishes, a boutique with one-of-a-kind apparel, souvenirs and collectibles.   

Popular retail venues from across the Disney Cruise Line fleet will also be onboard, including Diamonds & Wishes and Treasures Untold. These curated shops will continue to offer an elegant mix of luxury items, limited-edition collectibles, and high-end accessories for guests looking for that perfect keepsake. 

The Disney Adventure promises an unforgettable retail experience, ensuring guests can take home a little piece of their Disney Cruise Line adventure. With so many unique shops and exclusive merchandise, guests will have plenty of magical mementos to remember their journey! 

The Disney Adventure reached another Disney Cruise Line milestone with the installation of the stern characters — the oversized Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse — on the back of the ship, and we’re bringing everyone behind the scenes for a first look at the process.

The 18-foot-tall and 12-foot-wide anchor fixture was carefully lifted by the Meyer Wismar shipyard team using cranes to then bolt to the ship’s stern. This Disney Cruise Line tradition adds an extra touch of magic to the exterior, as different beloved Disney characters can be found on the stern of each ship across the fleet. The Disney Adventure is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to feature the captains as the stern characters.  

The Walt Disney Imagineering team included some can’t-miss details on the incredible statue, from the dripping yellow filigree paint to the bows adorned to Captain Minnie’s shoes.

The characters are in their iconic captain looks, hard at work putting the final touches on the ship’s stern filigree with their larger-than-life paint brushes.

Today, April 19th, 2025, Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse, joined by cheering spectators, welcomed the Disney Adventure as it floated out of Meyer Werft’s hall in Wismar, Germany, and into the shipyard harbor.

The moment was celebrated with fireworks as a tugboat carefully guided the ship’s bow out of the building, eventually docking in the location where it will stay for the next few months while the team continues construction on what will be the largest vessel in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.    

The team has an exciting few weeks ahead as they begin making some major updates to the ship’s exterior. One of the most anticipated milestones is the installation of the iconic Disney Cruise Line funnels on the upper decks. But this time, it’s not just the classic two funnels—Disney Adventure will feature four funnels!

And there’s more magic on the horizon. Soon, we will start to see the addition of the iconic yellow lifeboats on the sides of the ship and thrilling new attractions, including Marvel Landing’s Groot Galaxy Spin and Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever coaster, Ironcycle Test Run.  

This exciting construction milestone brings the Disney Adventure one step closer to setting sail—and to welcoming guests later this year in Singapore!

Beginning today, seasonal water park passes are on sale for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.

Guests can glide their way through a wintery water wonderland at Blizzard Beach or slide down Crush ‘n’ Gusher at Typhoon Lagoon when they visit again and again from now until May 9, 2026.

They can snag a pass for just $89 for adults and $83 for kids ages 3-9. But they should plan their trip accordingly as block-out dates occur from March 28, 2026, through April 5, 2026.

This year, we’re adding some new pass perks. After guests make a splash down Summit Plummet waterslide, they can relax, and have some chill time at Blizzard Beach’s Polar Patios cabanas. They should be sure to grab 20% off their cabana when they first arrive at the water park as it is a walk-up deal only.

They can also grab that same deal at Typhoon Lagoon when they visit the cabanas at the Beachcomber Shacks. It’s the perfect way to relax and enjoy the island vibes, especially after riding the waves of the largest wave pool in North America at Typhoon Lagoon.

Guests can round out their water park visit with a round of mini golf included with their pass. They can perfect their golf stroke at either Winter Summerland Miniature Golf or Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf when they visit before 4 p.m.. They should be sure to take advantage of this perk as there’s only one round of golf included in their pass over the season.

Guests should grab their passes now and warm up their winter holiday season for a little while longer before Typhoon Lagoon closes on February 14.

But not to worry, there will be waves for days for the family as Blizzard Beach will reopen the following day on February 15 just in time for the Spring season!

But perhaps one of the park’s most enchanting holiday experiences awaits just beyond: the Merry Menagerie.  

Merry Menagerie is a magical daytime experience that brings Discovery Island to life with artisan-crafted animal puppets.

Carefully designed by Disney Live Entertainment, these life-size arctic creations – polar bears, reindeer, foxes, penguins, and more – are brought to life through skilled puppeteers who make them walk, blink and even soar above each guest. 

“What makes Merry Menagerie special is how up close and personal it is. Guests aren’t just observers, they really can interact with these puppets,” said Chris Iannuzzi, Disney Live Entertainment Puppetry Director. “When someone reaches out to pet a polar bear, even though you can see the puppeteer right there, the puppet still feels so alive in that moment. Creating that believable interaction is a testament to not only the skill of our performers, but the power of puppetry.” 

Guests can interact with these wintry friends for unforgettable moments you can only find at Animal Kingdom:

• Take a selfie with a reindeer 
• Give a polar bear a gentle chin scratch
• Greet a playful penguin waddling around
• Say hello to a friendly fox 
• Watch a baby seal dance and play 
• Wave to a pair of seagulls

Adding to the charming scene, skilled musicians like violinists and steel pan performers play festive tunes that sweep soundly alongside the puppet interactions. 

Merry Menagerie appears select times during the day on Discovery Island now through December 31 – just one of the holiday delights waiting for guests and their families at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

To remember their one-of-a-kind Merry Menagerie experience, guests can stop by the Island Mercantile in Discovery Island to uncover exclusive merchandise. This year’s collection includes a wintry blue spirit jersey, T–shirt, collectible pins, and beautiful ornaments – all featuring the flurry of fun and the puppets in the park, while supplies last.

Located just outside the shop, guests shouldn't miss artist Rob Kaz’s new piece, “Merry Moment,” a festive celebration starring Mickey Mouse and the Merry Menagerie animals in front of the Tree of Life.  

“The puppeteers are truly so talented in making the moment between Guest and animal so special,” Rob described. “Wintry lighting and colors, sounds of the holidays… it’s just pure joy. That’s what I hoped to convey in Merry Moment.”

“With Mickey representing each of us feeling immersed and joyful amongst the Merry Menagerie family, I used color and light, especially around the Tree of Life, to make us immediately feel the cooler air that is so often experienced this time of year. I truly hope this painting lets people take home and remember the warmth they felt during the holidays at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.”

As the Merry Menagerie adds magic to Disney’s Animal Kingdom this holiday season, Disney Conservation Fund (DCF) continues its long-standing mission to work with communities to safeguard animals in the wild – including some of our friends that live in some of the chilliest areas of the globe just like the animals featured as whimsical puppets. For 30 years, DCF has been a leader in protecting wildlife and their habitats around the world.  

Through past/historic support of organizations like Polar Bears International, DCF has helped protect polar bears, their cubs, and their sea ice home.  DCF also supported the National Geographic Society and the Global Penguin Society to advance penguin conservation across Argentina, Chile, and New Zealand.

Get Ready for EPCOT International Festival of the Arts 2026

This year’s festival will feature a lineup of artists that will immerse you in beautiful artwork filled with color, expression, and inspiration. We are excited to share some of the new and returning talent coming to the festival and showcase some of their amazing art pieces:

Rosana Iarusso was born and raised in Mount Vernon, New York. Like most artists, her journey started the minute she could hold a pencil. Drawing in her Snow White-decorated room or creating art while watching her very worn-out VHS tape of The Little Mermaid, her love for Disney and art grew in tandem.  

Currently, she is working as a Senior Character Artist for Disney Consumer Products mainly drawing Disney Princesses and their sidekicks, Tinker Bell, Minnie Mouse, and many other beloved characters. When she isn’t working, she loves to try out new mediums.

Darren Wilson is a Senior Manager of Graphic Design for Disney Parks, Products and Experiences, and has spent 26 magical years with The Walt Disney Company, creating award-winning designs and creating exclusive works of art through the Art of Disney galleries.  

He is responsible for creating creative content for feature films such as: Disney and Pixar’s Coco, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales; live action films including Pinocchio, Peter Pan, The Lion King, and Aladdin. He currently designs for Disney Consumer Products and Disney Parks.

Yesenia Moises is an Afro-Latina author, illustrator, and toy designer known for her colorful picture books. After graduating from the internationally renowned Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Toy Design, she embarked on a journey to use her colorful and whimsical designs to create wonder and magic for young readers.

Her original picture book has wowed readers around the world. Her trademark use of color, curls, and charisma creates a special brand of Afro Fantasy that she’s lent to publishers, toy companies, and television studios.

Dave Perillo is an illustrator and designer based out of the Philly ‘burbs. With the help of a drawing book, and hours of cartoons, he doodled his way through school to college to study graphic design. His first position was as an illustrator in the glamorous world of medical publishing.

After countless drawings of dancing kidneys and otoscopes, he felt a need to feed his creative juices and began to create his own pop culture inspired art. This path launched him into a world of comic conventions, art galleries, and freelance design. His retro art style developed from his love of the mid-century modern aesthetic and is inspired by numerous legends.

Jerrod Maruyama is a freelance illustrator specializing in cute character concepts and design. He earned a degree in Illustration from San Jose State University and began his career as an art director in the children’s educational software industry.

Since becoming a full-time freelance artist, Jerrod has worked for several industry leaders in the entertainment and toy world, bringing his distinct brand of cute to popular characters and properties.

 

Joining the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts for his sixth year, Dylan Bonner is an illustrator based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He started creating artwork when he was a child after being completely enamored with the Walt Disney Classic The Little Mermaid.

Since 2017, he has worked on the Disney Princess property across several forms including comic books, toys, Consumer Products, and now, Fine Art.

Josey Tsao is an illustrator based in Los Angeles, California, creating artwork inspired by stories both real and imagined. From working as a Concept Designer for theme parks to a Background Painter in animation, she finds joy in using illustration to tell stories of people and places.

She has had the pleasure of working with Walt Disney Imagineering, Disney Publishing Worldwide, Disney Yellow Shoes, Disney’s WonderGround Gallery, and more.

Yes, there are over 200 new pieces of artwork being created for this festival– some of which will be created before guests' very eyes! Guests can stop by CommuniCore Hall Plaza to see canvases come to life with the help of an onstage visual artist as they paint their favorite Disney characters.

The fun never stops at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, with engaging, creative experiences happening around every corner!  

One highlight is the Animation Academy at the America Gardens Theatre. In this interactive session, guests and their families have a front row seat as a Disney animator guides them step by step in bringing a beloved character to life!  

Another must-do is The Expression Section: A Paint by Number Mural. Once guests have painted their squares, they'll get to take a step back and see a beautiful scene that you helped create.  

And don’t forget to look down! The Chalk Art Galleries turn EPCOT’s walkways into living canvases, where artists bring incredible creations to life right before guests' eyes. Who knows, maybe their favorite character will be their muse.
