The Disney Destiny’s bars and lounges are no exception, offering both exclusive spaces for adults and venues with family entertainment during the day, before turning into a haven for those 18+ to enjoy in the evening.

Many of these venues feature brand-new designs, plus special, exclusive menus, all inspired by the unforgettable personalities of heroic and villainous characters in favorite Disney stories.

We’re on a quest to experience all of the lounges and bars onboard the Disney Destiny. Here we go!

De Vil’s

Perfectly wretched! De Vil’s is a lavish lounge inspired by the iconic, villainous fashionista, Cruella de Vil. Her unforgettably bold flair made infamous by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ One Hundred and One Dalmatians comes to life in a whole new way, all with her sleek, signature color palette of red, black, and white. And, of course, spots!

The chic, intimate piano lounge located off the Grand Hall is inspired by Hollywood Regency design and a fabulous, spotted grand piano to entertain adults on the hunt for some relaxation and live music.

Above the spotted piano, a fiber optic Cruella will appear and disappear. If guests are at De Vil’s at the right time, they should be prepared “to take a sudden chill,” as the fabulous diva herself might just make an appearance. In “Treble Making with Cruella,” the fearsome fur lady takes over the piano lounge to rewrite the lyrics of her classic song and design a more flattering ode to her marvelousness.

A high-fashion piano lounge needs a high-fashion menu, and inside De Vil’s guests will find a selection of designer drink offerings, all inspired by the characters from Disney films. They should be sure to dress the part as these couture beverages serve as that perfect last accessory, honoring Cruella de Vil’s classic legacy.

The Sanctum

Guests can step into the Sanctum, Disney Cruise Line’s very first lounge inspired by Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange. The Sanctum is the centrally located entertainment parlor hosting activities for families during the day before inviting adults to enjoy a mystical evening with live music and themed drinks.

As if a Sanctum is hiding in plain sight, the bar is more subtle in design, but if they look closely guests will find themselves surrounded by mysterious curios from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, with spellbinding trinkets designed to aid sorcerers, including Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj. The circular window icon behind the bar is a nod to the seal protecting the New York Sanctum, and details throughout the lounge are inspired by the sorcerers’ light shields and mystical arts.

Guests can start and end their day with the supernatural in The Sanctum, which offers a menu for guests of all ages, including a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits, and coffee. Electric and levitating libations from across the multiverse feature prominently in this spectacular lounge.

Cask & Cannon

“Drink up, me hearties, yo ho!” Guests can skip walking the plank and walk on into Cask & Cannon, the pirate’s pub inspired by the classic (and our personal favorite!) Disney Parks attraction from around the world. This swashbuckling tavern is furnished with an eclectic mix of treasures that have been pillaged and plundered — or, “commandeered,” one might say — by the storied pirates themselves.

Here, the rum is never gone! Cask & Cannon serves a menu of rare, specialty, and vintage rums, even a selection of “bootlegged” brews on tap, served straight from the barrel. Guests can grab themselves a libation in true pirate style, surrounded by treasures, fishing nets, and rum bottles from jolly adventures throughout the years. This is a great space for a casual get-together, complete with live sports on televisions throughout the pub.

For fans of the Disney Parks attractions, take a close look at the details around the pub. The lanterns serve as a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Disneyland Paris. This easter egg is burned into our minds: if guests look closely at the portholes, they will find intricate carvings etched into charred wood, a nod to the burning village scene. And, can they spot the jail cell keys? Don’t worry, there’s no prison pup onboard to taunt anyone with them.

When guests look up, they'll notice a fantastical map of the Caribbean Sea, with pirate ships representing the growing Disney Cruise Line fleet. When they look down, they'll find a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, with Captain Jack Sparrow’s compass designed into the carpet. Does it point to what they desire most?

Perfect for Pirate Night on the Disney Destiny, Cask & Cannon might even have a stop from Captain Jack Sparrow himself as he walks about the Disney Destiny looking for a brave crew to help him in his latest quest.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor

Welcome, foolish mortals. The Haunted Mansion Parlor is the spookiest space for a sympathetic libation onboard the Disney Destiny. Guests can settle into a mysterious sea captain’s parlor and learn the unnerving story of his bride, with haunting cues from enchanted objects around the parlor brought to life by Madame Leota throughout the evening.

The fan-favorite Haunted Mansion Parlor first debuted on the Disney Treasure, and offers a haunting array of beverages, including an all-new menu of mocktails and cocktails exclusive to the Disney Destiny.

Inside, guests will find not only several design elements that reflect the beloved Disney Parks attractions, from the mansion wallpaper to the haunted clock striking 13, but they'll also find unique additions, including a spooky aquatic focal point from the Walt Disney Imagineering archives: a ghostly fish tank filled with skeletal fish.

Whatever heroic or villainous turn guests' days take onboard the Disney Destiny, there is something for everyone in the family during a Disney Cruise vacation.

The holiday season is in full swing at Walt Disney World Resort, and we kicked off this most magical time of the year Thursday night with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Disney Springs.

Those that missed it can follow along to discover all the details from the special moment and all the ways guests and their families can continue to enjoy this wintry time of year at Walt Disney World!

Kick off the Holiday Season at Disney Springs

Guests at Disney Springs were treated to a special holiday surprise as they witnessed the countdown to the Christmas tree lighting! One lucky family was chosen from the audience to blow some pixie dust onto the tree, bringing it to life with twinkling lights and officially marking the start of the holiday season across Disney World.

The atmosphere embodied the true holiday magic at Disney with dazzling entertainment moments and the first night of our nightly snowfall in Town Center at Disney Springs.

Experience the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth

The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth is back this holiday season! Guests can pick up a Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll Guide and visit the over 19 themed trees throughout Disney Springs.

As they stroll, guests can use the guide’s stickers to match the correct icon to each tree and bring it to one of the redemption locations for a special surprise (they should be sure to visit soon as supplies are limited).

This year, there are trees themed around fan-favorite movies and characters such as Pixar Animation Studios’ Coco, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Moana, and my favorite, The Princess and the Frog. And guests shouldn't forget their MagicBand+, as some of the trees are interactive!

Catch Artist Showcases at the New Disney Enchanted Holiday Art Gallery

New at Disney Springs this holiday season is the Disney Enchanted Holiday Art Gallery! Guests can gift their family and friends original art, prints, and other types of artwork from 11 featured artists, most of which are Florida natives. The artwork scope is a broad range of many different art styles, various paint techniques, and items ranging from original art to canvas wraps.

Each artist showcases their artistic expertise with a blend of their own inspiration and their love for Disney. Featured artwork will include beloved Disney films and characters such as Mickey and Minnie, Alice in Wonderland, and Beauty and the Beast. Guests should be sure to check the schedule for artist signing events!

Snack and Sip on Festive Sips and Bites

Tucked underneath the spare airplane parts, salvaged equipment, and rugged holiday charm, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar has taken holiday decorating to the next level with festive holiday décor lining the walls, all from Jock’s collection.

For a charming cocktail and a blissful bite, guests should be sure to visit Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar for a holiday-themed menu through January 4, featuring classic sips and new bites like A Wreath of Wellington and the Boughs of Holly Deviled Eggs.

Those in the mood for something even sweeter can treat themselves to a tasty North Pole Bar at Amorette’s Patisserie or the Mickey Chocolate-covered Gingerbread Cookies at The Ganachery, or stop by Marketplace Snacks for the Sven Reindeer Food Waffle Sundae.

For a full list of this year’s best bites and beverages across Disney Springs, check out our 2025 holiday foodie guide.

Meet Santa Claus at Disney Springs and More Holiday Entertainment

The fun doesn’t stop there! Roaming through the Marketplace at Disney Springs, guests will find DJ Sleigh serving up some holiday tunes, including seven new songs from the soundtrack of the Jonas Brothers’ new Christmas movie, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, available on Disney+ and Hulu.

In addition, guests can keep an eye out for the Toy Solider Stilt Walkers and Drummers, the Holiday Skaters, and the legendary fan-favorite Douglas Fir to keep them entertained during their next holiday shopping trip to Disney Springs!

While visiting, guests can scoop up some top items from their Christmas List at World of Disney and make a stop at the holiday-themed window displays.

Before heading out to catch the nighttime holiday entertainment at Magic Kingdom or the holiday-inspired menu items across the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, guests should make sure to meet Santa Claus at Santa’s Marketplace for a final check of their Christmas wish list before they send it off to the North Pole (and they should be sure to use the My Disney Experience app to enter the virtual queue!).

Disney Springs is the perfect place for 2025 holiday fun, with something for everyone to enjoy on each trip! Plan holiday visits now for guests to load up on favorite items before January 4 for a holly jolly Disney experience!

New Details on Villainous Experiences Aboard the Disney Destiny Heroes, legends, and a few… snarky souls have found themselves onboard the beautiful Disney Destiny, now sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for all guests' brave and mischievous adventures.

These wretched rendezvous are extra special, as many of these villainous shenanigans are only available onboard the Disney Destiny.

Fri, 14 Nov 2025 09:39:29 -0500 https://www.disneytravelagents.com/news/11966 https://www.disneytravelagents.com/news/11966 (Disney Destinations) Disney Destinations Heroes, legends, and a few… snarky souls have found themselves onboard the beautiful Disney Destiny, now sailing out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for all guests' brave and mischievous adventures.

Not only do guests dine with kings at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King and take an adventure to ancient Greece via the Walt Disney Theatre in “Disney Hercules,” they also have the chance to entertain their inner rogue during unique meet-and-play opportunities with some of Disney Animation and Marvel’s classic villains.

These wretched rendezvous are extra special, as many of these villainous shenanigans are only available onboard the Disney Destiny.

Now, let’s dive into how favorite villains could make guests' sailings an awfully vengeful voyage.

Will Loki Take Over the Disney Destiny?

Step into the world of Norse mythology with “The Legend of Loki” on the Disney Destiny, as the Grand Hall transforms into one of its signature villainous looks.

In this special story, guests will discover ancient Nordic statues which become enchanted with the magic of Loki himself, telling the stories of the gods of Asgard and the trials of the God of Mischief. Of course, Loki is sure to set the record straight on these tales, since he is ultimately planning to claim his “rightful” place as king of the Disney Destiny.

The Grand Hall is also home to “Celebration of a King,” a beautiful tribute to King T’Challa of Wakanda. Unfortunately, Loki crashes the celebration, assuming that the grandeur is all about him (we all make mistakes), and declares that he is king of the ship, demanding guests kneel before him instead. Will anyone save the ship from the God of Mischief’s enchantment?

Under Her Spell: A Maleficent Encounter

In Saga, the miffed enchantress, Maleficent, will hold court in a one-of-a-kind encounter, transforming the entertainment lounge into whatever suits her fancy, calling forth the glittering regalia of a medieval throne room, the dark echoes of an eerie dungeon, or the shadows of a foreboding forest.

Maleficent is here to show guests the wonders of her magical powers, inviting only the bravest in the lounge to approach her and be cast under her spell surrounded by lightning, fire, rain, and smoke in this lounge-turned-lair.

Stay Vigilant in Dr. Facilier’s Parlor

This is no friendly meet-and-greet… or is it? Guests can step into the darker side of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Princess and the Frog and meet the playfully sinister practitioner of the macabre, Dr. Facilier, to see if they can keep up with his swindles and scams in his makeshift parlor.

Can they spot a slight of hand? Roam the upper levels of the Grand Hall, and they just might find out. Go on, pick a card.

“If She Doesn’t Scare You…”

This piano bar is DARLING! The fashion icon, Cruella de Vil, is honored in every detail of De Vil’s, the one-of-a-kind piano lounge on board the Disney Destiny. Here, guests can literally “look out for Cruella de Vil,” and they just might catch a glimpse of the legendary diva herself in “Treblemaking with Cruella,” an invitation to help our beloved villain rework Roger Radcliffe’s classic tune to lyrics that suit her fancy and do justice to her marvelousness.

From lyrics to looks, they'll also have the chance to show their most fearsome fits to Cruella herself in “Wretched Runway: A Cruella Fashion Show.” That is, if they can take some criticism.

Guests should don their most villainous, heroic, and Cruella-inspired couture (spots encouraged, of course!) as the reigning rogue en vogue dishes her most sincere compliments.

But That’s Not All…

As if these marvelous encounters weren’t enough, guests should be sure to gather in the Grand Hall for a darker take on the traditional Disney Cruise Line “Kiss Goodnight,” when the chandelier becomes enchanted with an especially sinister glow complete with a surprise villain appearance onstage to offer them some extra-special “Kiss Goodnightmares.”

Visit our page to learn more about all the daring escapades and villainous crusades happening on the Disney Destiny!

The Broadway-style stage adaptation of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hercules joins the epic lineup of world-class entertainment guests can discover on our heroes and villains-themed ship.

We are thrilled to share a first look at the stunning new show that’s proven “whose daring deeds are great theater!”

A Fresh Take on a Timeless Quest

“Disney Hercules” stays true to the story and spirit of the beloved film with a fresh, contemporary retelling that stars all of guests' favorite gods, mortals, and mythical beings, many represented in surprising new ways.

Like the film, the Muses are the show’s storytellers, and their over-the-top personalities and transcendent vocals shine on stage. High-fashion costumes showcase the opulence of the gods of Mount Olympus and contrast starkly with the more understated and humble attire worn by the humans and creatures of Earth.

The Music of Hercules, Reimagined

Centered around the legendary soundtrack from the film, the production features modern renditions of nostalgic classics like “Go the Distance,” “Zero to Hero,” and “I Won’t Say I’m in Love.” New musical arrangements infuse the songs guests love with the soulfulness of gospel music and the energy of a pop concert.

In addition to all of the songs from the movie, “Disney Hercules” includes “Shooting Star,” a heartfelt ballad originally written for the film by Alan Menken and David Zippel.

Beasts of Legend, Crafted for the Stage

From the multi-headed Hydra to the mighty Titans, the monsters and mythological behemoths from the film are alive on stage with the help of jaw-dropping puppetry. Custom-made for the performance by award-winning puppet designer Michael Curry, the larger-than-life characters engage Hercules in dynamic battles as his quest to fulfill his hero’s journey unfurls on stage.

Developed exclusively for the Disney Destiny, “Disney Hercules” is one of three stage shows aboard the ship, along with fan-favorites “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.”

Guests' seats inside the Walt Disney Theater are waiting! Discover upcoming itineraries for the Disney Destiny on DisneyCruise.com for guests to enjoy Disney Cruise Line’s unparalleled entertainment during their next vacation.

The waterfront concert-met-Disney-theater extravaganza was complete with live music, dazzling vocalists, and jaw-dropping drone effects in the night sky, while the ship itself became a canvas for scenic projections, all honoring the ship’s heroes-and-villains theme.

Ahead of the Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage on Nov. 20, 2025, we’re excited to relive this magical milestone with a can’t-miss video recap of the ceremony.

Josh D’Amaro and Joe Schott Speak at the Christening Celebration

Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences, started the celebration.

“For more than 100 years, we have entertained our fans in new and innovative ways, connecting them to the Disney stories they love,” Josh said. “Disney Cruise Line is a powerful part of that legacy because our ships become brand ambassadors that travel the globe and bring joy to our guests in ways only Disney can. Now, the Disney Destiny makes its own extraordinary entry into our growing fleet.”

Drones Light Up the Sky in Ft. Lauderdale

Incredible scenes from some of the beloved Disney stories that guests will experience onboard were brought to life through sparkling drones, colorful projections, and lively music, with special pop-rock renditions of classics from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hercules, The Lion King and Frozen, Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, Pirates of the Caribbean, and more, providing a musical narration of the show.

Susan Egan Named Godmother of the Disney Destiny

The celebration culminated with the ship’s godmother, Susan Egan—the Broadway legend and voice of Megara in the Disney Animation classic, Hercules—gave the Disney Destiny her traditional maritime blessing, kicking off a grand finale worthy of the gods. With a pop of champagne and a sprinkle of Disney magic, the Disney Destiny is officially ready to set sail!

And when it does, the ship will unlock unique hero-and-villain-themed experiences at sea for guests, including new ways to interact with infamous villains, a Cruella de Vil-inspired lounge, a Broadway-style retelling of Hercules, an Incredibles-themed sweet shop and a Lion King restaurant featuring live tributes to music from the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film during dinner.

As Joe Schott said during the Christening celebration: “The Disney Cruise Line team, alongside our Disney Imagineers, have invested years of their expertise, creativity and dedication into this beautiful ship, and they have created something truly spectacular.”
