Everything We Know About ‘Disney Starlight’ So Far Announced last August at D23 EXPO, “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” is the new nighttime parade coming to Walt Disney World this summer.

Fri, 23 May 2025 15:23:20 -0400 https://www.disneytravelagents.com/news/11763 https://www.disneytravelagents.com/news/11763 (Disney Destinations) Disney Destinations Announced last August at D23 EXPO, “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” is the new nighttime parade coming to Walt Disney World this summer.

While guests are eagerly awaiting to see “Disney Starlight” light up the streets of Magic Kingdom, the creative team behind the magic shared everything they have to look forward to soon.

What is “Disney Starlight” about?

“Disney Starlight” transports guests into the stories of our beloved Disney characters. Through the power of the Blue Fairy’s magic, guests will watch dreams and wishes come true. As the lights dance from float to float, guests will see favorite classic and contemporary characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar films, some for the very first time in a Disney Live Entertainment nighttime parade!

Brought to life by the creative hands and hearts at Disney Live Entertainment, "Disney Starlight” is the perfect continuation of our legacy of nighttime parades, with bits of nostalgia sprinkled throughout a dazzling procession that raises the bar for the future.

This idea holds true for every part of this parade, not only in the float design, but in the music, choreography, and more. With several members of the creative team having worked on fan-favorites such as “Main Street Electrical Parade” and “SpectroMagic,” guests will see the inspiration from ever-iconic electrical parades of years past. “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” recalls the nostalgia of nighttime spectaculars with innovation lighting the way for a magical experience like never before.

What Characters Can We See in “Disney Starlight?”

From the moment the Blue Fairy’s magic wand lights up the night, dreams will come to life with an enchanting order of floats with these fantastic friends:

  • The Blue Fairy
  • Peter Pan & Wendy
  • Asha
  • La Familia Madrigal (Mirabel, Isabella, Bruno)
  • Elsa
  • Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, and Cinderella and Prince Charming
  • Miguel and Pepita
  • Moana

There's still more to come to this magical list, but this is the order guests can look for soon!

When is “Disney Starlight” Coming to Magic Kingdom?

While we wait for the opening of “Disney Starlight” this summer, guests don’t have to wait to see a sneak peek of the poster coming soon to the Magic Kingdom train station!

It won’t be long before the music swells and the twinkling lights flicker, so stay tuned to for more magic soon!

Greetings from the Galápagos: Jodi Bainter’s Travel Journal I recently had the incredible opportunity to set sail on a Galápagos Expedition Cruise with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions. This was my first trip since our recently expanded relationship, and I was so proud of the power of the two brands united. In honor of World Turtle Day, I am excited to take you through my travel journal including, you guessed it, seeing the world-famous giant Galápagos tortoise!

This was my first trip since our recently expanded relationship, and I was so proud of the power of the two brands united. In honor of World Turtle Day, I am excited to take you through my travel journal including, you guessed it, seeing the world-famous giant Galápagos tortoise!

Our expedition was the 7-day Galápagos Escape aboard the National Geographic Islander II. One thing I noticed right away was how accessible this trip felt – guests do not have to be thrill-seekers or overly outdoorsy to do an expedition cruise. I admit that ahead of my vacation I was a little bit hesitant about the activity level – did I need to be an amateur athlete to take full advantage of all the Galápagos has to offer? As soon as our expedition began, though, I was put immediately at ease.

On day one, we boarded zodiacs (small inflatable vessels) and headed to board the Islander II. Our first afternoon we got to know the crew, familiarized ourselves with the ship, and were briefed on what we could expect for our trip. Everyone gathered at the marina to be fitted for our wet suit, snorkel and fins, which we would use throughout our cruise. We even headed to a nearby cove for our first snorkel to practice a wet landing – exiting the zodiacs in the water – and of course do some snorkeling. The time we spent learning the ropes on our first day made the rest of our trip seamless.

I can’t talk about my time in the Galápagos without mentioning the huge variety of wildlife we got to see every day. At our first port of call we were greeted with a colony of Galápagos sea lions. We also saw the Galápagos land iguana, Galápagos penguins and more. One of my favorite wildlife moments was our early morning hike along Great Darwin Bay in Genovesa Island. We had an incredible seabird experience, sighting species like great frigate birds, red-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, swallow-tailed gulls, storm petrels and tropicbirds. And we topped off the trip on our final day with a land excursion to see the giant Galápagos tortoise!

In addition to the wildlife, there were countless stunning landscapes that looked straight out of a National Geographic magazine! We experienced the beauty of nature by both land and sea, including deep water snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and even stargazing.

6f397ccf-bf62-48b9-bba0-9855d040e258.jpg

And just when I thought this trip truly couldn’t get any better, the incredible crew, experiences and of course food and beverage aboard the National Geographic Islander II were outstanding from beginning to end. In addition to Captain Gonzalo and his crew, we also had onboard naturalist staff to answer questions and add in layers of detail throughout our entire trip. A naturalist joined us on every excursion from snorkeling to kayaking, making each moment even more memorable. The trip was by far, one of the most incredible vacations I have ever experienced.

The delicious food and beverage made our trip feel even more authentic and immersive, as much of it is sourced directly from local producers on nearby islands. And of course, the chefs ensured there was something for everyone!

After my incredible week exploring the Galápagos, I was truly sad to leave. My biggest takeaway and one I would encourage you to share with any of your clients is that this trip felt so ‘doable.’ Throughout my expedition we had several excursions, which were perfectly choreographed. Because everything was so well-planned, I never felt intimidated. I always felt within my abilities and safe. This truly allowed me to soak up the experience even more greatly than I ever anticipated. I have officially become and explorer and am looking forward to planning my next trip. I’m thinking Antarctica is next on the line-up!

Together, Lindblad and National Geographic bring to life a rich history of exploration and travel, and they do it in a way that gives consumers a once in a lifetime experience. For those who want an unforgettable vacation full of experiences you cannot get anywhere else, this trip is the one for them. If your clients have been considering traveling with National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions, I cannot say it enough – book the trip!

When guests stay at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter, they are instantly transported to the lively streets of New Orleans. Colorful building facades, grand walkways and lush greenery evoke the feeling of walking through the city’s historic streets.

Now, with over a thousand room refurbishments officially completed, there’s even more festive flair for guests to discover at this fan-favorite resort.

Enjoy Refurbished Rooms with Charm at Port Orleans French Quarter

Throughout each room, colorful fabrics and patterns inspired by the city’s charming architecture bring the lively spirit of “The Big Easy” to life, just like the buildings’ vibrant exteriors.

Guests will also notice nods to Mardi Gras celebrations, including artwork featuring those iconic purple, gold and green beads.

New portraits add even more character, featuring Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis and Charlotte La Bouff from “The Princess and the Frog” all dressed in their Mardi Gras best and dancing through the French Quarter in style!

Guests can take a closer look at the intricate detailing on the bathroom door and mosaic-style pattern above the beds, and catch hidden details like Tiana’s sparkling tiara, as well as drums and trumpets — an homage to New Orleans’ jazz roots.

The refreshed bathroom is as relaxing as it is functional, offering plenty of storage options and a spacious counter — perfect for those mornings when the family is getting ready before a fun-filled day at the theme parks.

Get Transported to New Orleans

Outdoors, the theming continues with updated surfaces and vibrant designs throughout the newly refurbished Doubloon Lagoon pool area and Mardi Grogs pool bar, now featuring a brighter, more upscale look with airy blues, black-and-white tiles and wrought iron details.

They perfectly weave in those recognizable New Orleans elements while complementing the relaxed poolside vibe.

“This resort is all about transporting guests to the heart of New Orleans, and the recent enhancements bring that story to life in exciting new ways,” said Diane Petit, General Manager, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. “Everything ties back to the charm and culture that our guests love.”

Experience All the Resort Has to Offer

When guests are not relaxing in these newly reimagined spaces, there’s no shortage of fun to experience around the resort. From taking a spin down the colorful sea serpent waterslide (named Scales!) to catching a movie under the stars, there’s something for everyone.

6c5ebbea-2803-4135-b057-628cf7e5178f.jpg

Many guests love listening to the live jazz music at Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge, taking a stroll along the scenic Sassagoula River, renting bikes or even hopping aboard a boat to Disney Springs – one of the complimentary transportation options available as part of their stay. And of course, no visit to the French Quarter is complete without Mickey-shaped beignets from Scat Cat’s Club – Café!

At the heart of the magic of a Disney Resort hotel stay is the exceptional service provided by Disney cast members. Whether it's a friendly greeting after a day at the parks, a surprise magical moment to celebrate a special occasion or just a helping hand when guests need it most, cast members are known for creating the kinds of memories that last a lifetime.

Stay in the Magic This Summer

There is so much fun in store this summer as we get ready to kick off Cool Kid Summer, coming to Walt Disney World May 27 through September 1. Families can make a splash with special deals and Disney-themed activities at select resorts.

Staying at a Disney Resort hotel offers more than just a place to rest — it provides convenient access to the magic, early theme park entry and complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort, and even admission to a Disney water park on check-in day.

With special offers available throughout the year, it's easier than ever to create unforgettable memories with loved ones.

We’re always planning our next meal here at Walt Disney World, so of course we’re already looking ahead to the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Before the main course is served, we invite everyone to sample this delectable appetizer. It’s time to mark your calendar with this year’s festival dates, learn about returning festival activities, and get a sneak peek at a few menu items to whet your appetite.

2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Dates

The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival started as a 30-day global celebration of flavors and culture around World Showcase. Since its inception, this festival has evolved into one of the most highly anticipated events each year at Walt Disney World, spanning across the entire park and delighting guests throughout the summer and fall months.

We are so excited to once again delight with the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival dates running from August 28 to November 22, 2025.

2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Marketplaces

Each year, the Global Marketplaces at EPCOT Food & Wine Festival feature diverse cuisines from around the world. These adventurous menus will again include kid-friendly and plant-based options.

For the 2025 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, we are celebrating with over 35 Global Marketplaces located all over the park. Stay tuned for the full Foodie Guide that will list every single item on the 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival menus.

Nibble on Emile’s Fromage Montage

For fans of cheese (and who isn’t?), Emile’s Fromage Montage is the perfect way to indulge in your dairy cravings during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Sample a selection of mouthwatering cheese dishes from various Festival Marketplaces scattered around the park. Collect the cheesy stamps in your festival passport to collect a complimentary dairy-licious treat. And if a day of cheese makes your heart melt like mozzarella, here is a sneak peek at your oh-so-gouda mission:

  • Milled & Mulled: Fall Fruit Cheesecake featuring Boursin® Fig & Balsamic Cheesecake with Pomegranates and Candied Pecans
  • Brazil: Pão de Queijo: Brazilian Cheese Bread
  • Greece: Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey

Check back for more cheesy details.

Play Remy’s Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt

The tiny rat with a big appetite is back and serving up another round of worldwide adventure. Inspired by Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille, Remy’s Hide and Squeak hunt invites you to join Remy as he “hides” throughout World Showcase.

This scavenger hunt is perfect for littles who are learning about different foods, and the challenge of finding Remy and scoring the hunt prize remains a festival must-do for adults.

A map and stickers will be available for purchase at the park to keep track of your discoveries. As you explore the park, you’ll search for Remy in different World Showcase pavilions, where he has collected specific ingredients. Once you’ve found all of Remy’s hiding spots and completed the scavenger hunt, a special prize awaits.

See the Eat to the Beat Concert Series

At the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion, live music and delectable cuisine come together to create an unforgettable experience. Stay tuned for the full Eat to the Beat schedule, which is known to include some returning fan favorites as well as new local sounds.

This series showcases a diverse lineup of artists spanning various genres and eras, with something for everyone to enjoy. The concerts typically take place a few times daily, providing ample opportunities for guests to catch their favorite acts.

Admission is included with EPCOT park entry, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. For those seeking guaranteed seating, dining packages are offered, allowing guests to enjoy a meal at select EPCOT restaurants before the show.

Festival Concert Series Dining Package

The Festival Concert Series Dining Package combines a meal at one of EPCOT’s participating table-service restaurants with guaranteed seating at a concert in the America Gardens Theatre later that evening. Make your reservations through the My Disney Experience app or the official Walt Disney World website.

What’s Included:

When guests purchase the Festival Concert Series Dining Package, they can enjoy the following:

  • Choose from breakfast, lunch, or dinner
  • Appetizer, Entrée, and Dessert or a buffet
  • Non-Alcoholic Beverage or an Alcoholic Beverage (for guests aged 21 and older)

Note: The specific offerings may vary by restaurant. For example, at Spice Road Table, the meal includes two small plates, a shared tagine, a shared dessert platter, and a beverage. Prices for the dining package vary by restaurant and mealtime.

Concert Seating

After the meal, guests will receive a reserved seating badge for one of the Festival Concert Series performances that same day. The reserved seating is in the second section in the middle of the America Gardens Theatre. While seating is guaranteed, it’s on a first-come, first-served basis within that section, so arriving early is recommended for the best view.

Living with the Land Food & Wine Displays

Foodie lovers already know that the Living with the Land boat ride features an inside look at innovative agricultural techniques and learn about sustainable food practices.

And for the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival each year, seasonal themed displays showcase ingredients along the journey and offer a deeper understanding of EPCOT’s focus on global cuisine and sustainability.

See You Soon at EPCOT Food & Wine 2025

Now that you’ve had your appetizer, we hope to leave you craving more as we get closer to the main event. Whether you’re a foodie, music lover, or family looking for fun, the festival provides an enriching experience for all guests.

With a variety of ticket, dining, and hotel options, plus special offers on tickets, rooms and vacation packages. Walt Disney World makes it easy for families to save on unforgettable vacations. To add extra magic your day at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, consider booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package.
